Do not be ashamed of help.
In *Meditations*, Marcus confesses that even an emperor needs guidance. When injured, he said, no one refuses medical help out of pride. So why refuse advice for the soul? He viewed asking for help not as weakness, but as wisdom — recognising the value of interdependence. The Stoic ideal is not self-sufficiency at all costs, but humility in growth. Even the strongest seek support.
Pride resists help. Wisdom accepts it.
